Opera and Ballet in Prague There are a couple of opera or ballet performances every night in Prague. The best known performances are held by Prague State Opera and by the Prague National Theatre Opera at three beautiful opera houses. Opera performances are usually sung in the original language with subtitles (English ones with Czech operas and Czech ones with all the others). English program brochures are always available. Prague Marionette Theater (Puppet Show) You can buy some marionette and puppet in the shops around the city center and you can even enjoy the marionette theater. Puppet (Marionette) shows for children and adults have a long tradition in Prague and throughout the Czech Republic. Many of the master puppeteers' creations are real gems of artistry and craftsmanship. The repertoire ranges from puppet versions of Mozart's famous Don Giovanni, to Yellow Submarine, the legendary film, with original recordings by the Beatles. Whatever the performance, the National Marionette Theatre is terrific entertainment for children of all ages!
